On
Nov. 7, award-winning comedian, Tee A, announced that D’Banj would be
one of the stars to feature at the live recording of his show – Tymeout with Tee A.
He
had said, “D’Banj is excited to be on the show, and we are very excited
too. We’ve done many D’banj skits on the television programme and our
fans have been asking for him. So, I’m very glad that he has given his
word to come for this spectacular show on Dec. 1”
However, some days ago, D’Banj was informed of his nomination in three categories of the European Urban Music Awards.
And
guess what? The organisers said the music awards is billed to hold in
the United Kingdom on Dec. 1, being the same date that Tee A’s audience
would expect to watch him stage a live performance onTymeout with Tee A.
The
red carpet event is slated for Muson Centre, Lagos, where Daddy
Showkey, Sammie Okposo, Ice Prince and Lynxxx are also expected to
perform.
For
D’Banj, the UMA date clashing with his initial plan has put him at a
crossroads. Meanwhile, it is the first time that UMA would nominate him
for an award that requires his presence. The issue is that the
invitation to the awards show would go a long way in boosting D’Banj’s
international rating and followering. On which stage will the Kokomaster be seen come Dec. 1; Lagos or the UK? Find out in due course.
