Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are suing YouTube co-founder

The ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians‘ star and the rapper claim the billionaire ‘manipulated’ his way into AT and T Park in San Francisco and released unauthorised footage of the moment the ‘New Slaves‘ hitmaker proposed to her on her 33rd birthday on October 21.
According to court documents, obtained by TMZ, the couple is accusing Hurley of scheming to post the video of the intimate moment on his new Internet venture, MixBit.
Their lawyer Eric George also trashes the entrepreneur, claiming Hurley is desperate to find a ‘second act’ because two of his other businesses have flopped since he sold YouTube for $1.65 billion. It was previously reported that Kanye invited Kim’s close family and friends, along with several well known Silicon Valley founders to watch his surprise proposal, but Hurley wasn’t invited and they only let him stay after he signed a confidentiality agreement.
They attached a picture of him holding the agreement to the lawsuit, which also states: ‘Hurley proceeded to try to turn the event into one starring himself, broadcasting the images he knew were the exclusive property rights of someone else.‘
The couple is suing Hurley for unspecified damages and claim the footage was intended to be shown on MC Cable Television, which is an arm of Bunim/Murray and E!, which produces and broadcasts Kim’s reality show.

Car scam: N375m Can Build 150 Classrooms

The total sum of N375m used to purchase bulletproof cars for the Minister of Aviation, Ms Stella Oduah, can build 150 classrooms, calculations by Sunday Punch have shown.
The sum can also pay the monthly wages of 20,833 workers, based on workers who receive the N18,000.00 minimum wage approved by the National Assembly.
The sum of N255m was spent by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority to buy two bulletproof BMW cars for the Minister of Aviation, Ms. Stella Oduah, and the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria, also reportedly bought her two bulletproof Lexus Limousines at N120m, bringing the total  amount, revealed so far, to N375m.
It also means that the cost of the cars can put food on the table of over 20, 000 Nigerian families within a period of one month.
Apart from wages, the money can provide infrastructure such as health care facilities, schools, correctional centres, resettlement camps, among others.
While facing the House of Representative Committee on Aviation, Oduah denied that the vehicles were bought for her, but neither her nor the heads of NCAA, FAAN have denied the amounts spent on them.
According to a quantity surveyor, who did not want to be named, about N15m could build a block of six classrooms, while about N10m could raise the structure of a paediatric ward in a hospital.

Nigeria Not Among World’s Top 20 Music Markets; D’banj Disagrees

Despite the musical triumphs of her several top artistes, Nigeria has failed to make it into the world’s top 20 biggest music markets for 2012, the latest ranking by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry, IFPI, claims.
The federation placed the United State of America number one, with $4.17 billion (N661 billion) trade value – 49% each for physical and digital market and a $13.4 (N2,100) per person consumption. Japan was ranked 2nd, with $3.96 billion (N630 billion) market value with 73% for physical market, and 25% for digital market; Germany was 3rd, with $1.41 billion (N224 billion) market value, and a physical and digital market value of 81% and 13% respectively.
Fourth was the United Kingdom, with a market value of $1.38 billion (N219 billion); physical market, 67%; and digital market, 25%. South Africa, at 18, was the only African country on the list, with a trade value of $125.6 million (N20 billion) and a physical and digital market of 93% and 5% respectively.

BBA winner Dillish Matthews finally meets with ‘lover’ Melvin

Big Brother Africa – The Chase winner Dillish Matthews has made Nigeria her second home, travelling in and out of the West African country for the past few weeks. And she’s finally met up with her ‘lover’ Mevlin Oduah.
The pair met up in Abuja last night at an Acoustic Night event held at Blue Velvet Marquee. And they looked beautiful together.
In related news, the Edo State Government has denied hosting Dillish days after the BBA star paid the state and Governor Adams Oshiomole a ‘courtesy visit’.
An official statement has been released by the State Government categorically stating that the state did not host or entertain the 29-year-old Namibian when she visited the South-South state. The statement was released in reaction to an article in the Daily Independent newspaper on Friday, October 25, 2013, where Eddie Iroh condemned the Governor for ‘spending state’s funds so recklessly’.
The report stated that ‘the likes of Governors Oshiomhole, Fashola and Dickson who are in the habit of dipping their hands into public funds on such ventures should have known that in civilized climes, such celebrations were funded from the Governors’pockets and not public funds‘.
‘How libelous! From the above, it is obvious that Mr. Eddie Iroh is suffering from brain wave. First, it would have been a thing of interest for Edo State Government to host the said BBA winner, Dillish, to justify her well-advertised declaration in the BBA House that Edo State people are very hospitable. That in itself was a global endorsement that is purely priceless. Again, if Dillish would agree, as a BBA ambassador, Edo State Government would be willing to host her in future to prove to cynics and naysayers like Eddie Iroh that Edo State is indeed, not only hospitable, but also a safe haven for those who intend to do legitimate business in the State‘, part of the statement signed by Prince Kassim Afegbu, Special Adviser Media and Public Affairs To The Edo State Governor said.
‘To the best of our knowledge, Edo State did not host Dillish in whatever material particular. This could be verified from the Governor’s daily routines which are usually available for public consumption and can be confirmed from the Protocol Department of the Governor’s Office or Government House‘, the statement continued.
Sources say Oshiomole personally hosted Dillish, with some insisting she wasn’t hosted in the Government house but at the Governor’s private lodge.
