Was Aki’s Father Murdered? (LOOK)

On May 19, 2013, the father of Nollywood actor, Chinedu Ikedieze well known as Aki, Pa Michael Ikedieze Ogbonnaya Okoronkwo died. The man reportedly died after a brief illness at the age of 73. But Nigeriafilms.com can report that some members of his family including Aki, are of the notion that the man may have been killed by someone and that he may not have died naturally.

Or how best can one explain the incident that happened at the burial ceremony for late Ikedieze last week Saturday in Abia State when the actor reportedly said, “papa, I know you as a peaceful man who never looked for anyone’s trouble. 

“You never hurt anyone and so diligently you trained us that we may train you in return. After suffering that we may become better people in life, the wicked people came and took you away from us. Now, we’ve made fame and wealth, which you craved for, but you are nowhere around to enjoy it with us.”

As it is, some of the family members are still hurt that some ‘wicked’ people killed the man at age 73 and hope that the spirit of the late man fights his killers.

2face, Wizkid, Ikechukwu Others Diss D’banj DKM concert

Victoria Island, Lagos, glowed bright-red last night Sunday June 23rd as D’banj hosted thousands of fans to his much talked about DKM Concert which held at the Eko Hotel and Suites.

The concert served as the launch of his DB Records debut compilation album ‘D’ King’s Men‘ and saw performances from D’banj, Kay Switch, rappers Olamide, Naeto C, Phyno and Pop artiste KCEE. Other performers included DJ Zeez and upcomers Sean Tizzle, Omo Akin, Ace and Pepsol.

However, 2face, Wizkid, Ikechukwu, Durella and DB Records JSol didn’t grace the stage despite earlier announcements of their performance at the concert.

Wizkid was sighted at the event but didn’t get on stage. 2face we gather is in Houston US for a performance at Industry Nite. Ikechukwu, Durella and J Sol cannot be accounted for.

The concert climaxed with performances from international acts – US rapper 2 Chainz, Congolese sexy singer Fally Ipupa, and South African musical group Mafikizolo.

The show was hosted by The Beat FM’s Toolz and comedian AY with an earlier backstage voice over from Illryhmz.

RIVERS State Governor, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, has dared the State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Joseph Mbu, to shoot him whenever he embarks on a demonstration against him (CP) and the Federal Government. 
Mbu had placed a ban on any form of demonstration, procession or rally by any person or group of persons in the state and warned anybody not to dare him on the directive. 
But speaking on Tuesday when leaders and people of Urashi Kingdom paid him a solidarity visit at the Government House in Port Harcourt, Amaechi vowed that he would be at the forefront of the protest that would come up soon. 
The governor said he had told traditional leaders in the state to get ready for the demonstration against Mbu over the police commissioner’s position on rallies and demonstrations. 
Amaechi, who decried Mbu’s attempt to stop the people of Urashi from paying a solidarity visit to him, said it was wrong for the police to have harassed his supporters. 
He said Rivers was now a police state following the police attempt to stop people’s movement by blocking the entire Orashi region. 
He said, “Another thing I will tell you is that we are looking for a date we will demonstrate against what the Federal Government and what the Commissioner of Police are doing in Rivers State. 
“We have told our chiefs to get ready. Once we get a date, once we get people from overseas; they are Nigerians; they will join us and we will give you the date. 
“I have told the CP (Mbu) to be ready to shoot me, I will be in front. I will not seat here and wait for you to match here and give me letter. Instead, I will keep SSG here and then I will match down with you people. 
“Then I will give the SSG letter to give to the FG so that if they want to shoot, they can shoot me because we have a right to express our views. You have the right to criticise me. I am not particularly a good man. There is nobody that is a perfect man in the world. Is there any?” 
He, however, commended the people of Urashi Kingdom for braving the odds to get to Port Harcourt in spite of the attempt by the police to stop them. 
Insisting that every Nigerian had the right to express his or her views, Amaechi argued that the state police commissioner did not have the powers to ban demonstration since it (protest) was part of the people’s fundamental human rights. 
He said, “You people are by far stronger than me. I got a report yesterday very late at night that the police had planned to stop you people. I was thinking that once you see policemen, everybody will run into his house. 
“But you must learn how to use these things. You should have recorded them so that you can show to the world how much a tyrant our commissioner of police is.”

According to Ghafla, Pokello’s father, Rtd Col Nare says the incident does not mean his daughter has loose morals as she had a boyfriend and was enjoying herself in private. 

‘The video footage was not meant for public consumption and the person who leaked it should be guilty of character assassination. My daughter has a strong personality and would not be weakened by that. She is a successful businesswoman’ said Rtd Col Nare.

The claims may be true as Radar Online also reports that Kanye West completely skipped out on his listening party at Milk Studios in Los Angeles last night because the baby is on the way and he's about to be a father!

One of Nigeria’s representatives on Big Brother The Chase, Beverly Ada Osu has made several confessions in the name of gisting with housemates.

Beverly first caught viewers’ attention in the house when she was made the Head of house (HOH) and given a task memo to read to the housemates. She couldn’t read it out claiming the grammar in the memo was not comprehensive; even though she said it was a joke, she became a laughing stock on twitter for her inability to read well.

The dark video vixen also mentioned in the house that she and her friends used to do ‘runs’, extorting money from men.

Last week, she made two revelations that seem to have made her friends and family dumbfounded; firstly, she said she once aborted a four month old pregnancy and then she revealed that her mother used to live in America but was deported and arrested some years ago when caught carrying drugs.

German Bank Employee Falls Asleep On Keyboard, Transfers Millions

A tired German bank employee fell asleep on his keyboard and accidentally transformed a minor transfer into a 222 million euro ($311 million) order, a court heard.

The Hessen labour court heard that the man was supposed to transfer just 62.40 euros from a bank account belonging to a retiree, but instead “fell asleep for an instant, while pushing onto the number 2 key on the keyboard” – making it a huge 222,222,222.22 euro order.

The bank discovered the mistake shortly afterwards and corrected the error.


The case was taken to court by the man’s 48-year-old colleague who was fired for letting the mistake slip through when verifying the order.

The court ruled that the plaintiff should be reinstated in his job.

#BBATheChase Breaking News: Selly Disqualified?

Ruby House dancing Queen and now notorious rabble-rouser, Selly, was on the receiving end of a severe talking to by Big Brother this evening. In case you missed it, the Ghanaian stunned her fellow Housemates and viewers alike during the Channel O party on Saturday night, when she dumped a glass full of alcohol over Pokello's head with absolutely no provocation that would warrant such.

This evening, Big Brother called all the Rubies, who have talked about the incident in hushed tones since it happened, to the lounge to hand out his punishment. Deafening silence descended over the House as full, uncut footage of the incident was beamed into the House. The culprit, Selly, looked on in what looked to be sheer agony and embarrassment as she was exposed for all to see.

When asked to explain herself in the Diary Room, a panic-stricken Selly told Big Brother she delivered her golden booze shower because Pokello is a good dancer. "I poured alcohol over Pokello's head to show her that she was really dancing well. I didn't do it to provoke her because we get along. I realised later that she didn't find it amusing. We have spoken about it and I have apologised”, she said. Selly went on to reveal how she does the same in Ghana when her friends excel on the dance floor.

When Selly emerged from the Diary Room to apologise once again, Pokello told her "It's okay. Don't worry about it". Take a look at the footage below and share your thoughts. Was Selly giving props or was she trying to stir up trouble?
