Pearce blamed for losing Moses to Nigeria
England
Under 21 coach Stuart Pearce has been singled out for blame after
Chelsea’s dual-nationality forward Victor Moses chose to play for
Nigeria rather than England.
Former
Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan, who oversaw Moses’s development at
Selhurst Park, says the often taciturn Pearce should have done more to
make the 21-year-old welcome during his time with his England side.
And
managers Neil Warnock and Roberto Martinez, who had Moses in their
respective teams at Palace and Wigan, have also criticised the FA for
not persuading the player to pick England.
Jordan’s
faith in Moses’s potential extended to the multi-millionaire football
chairman having a £50,000 bet with former Arsenal forward Paul Merson
that Moses would win more England caps than Merson’s tally of 21 —
although that wager has been voided by the Nigeria decision.
The
FA strongly defend Pearce’s interactions with Moses, saying that a lot
of effort was made to keep the player in the national set-up. And they
point to plenty of other young internationals opting for England when
given a choice.
Roy
Hodgson’s assistant Gary Neville was asked about Moses snubbing England
while he was doing the Sky co-commentary of the Chelsea-Manchester City
game last Sunday.
Neville
shifted the blame on to the system that allows England to develop
youngsters through junior sides only to lose them at senior level.

the first daughter of former Head of State and a former presidential
candidate, Maj-Gen Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), is dead.
She died on Thursday evening after delivering a baby in Nasara Hospital,Marafa Estate in Kaduna.
Nigerians only got to know the 40-year-old lady after her death.
Zulaiha, who was born on December 5, 1972, studied at the Department of Economics Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
She left behind Amira, Moh’d and the two-day-old baby girl.
The
former Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nasir el-rufai, said, “May
the soul of Zulaihatu, the eldest daughter of General Muhammadu Buhari,
rest in perfect peace.”
The spokesman for the Congress for Progressive Change, Rotimi Fashakin, described the death as sad.

10 Tips To Extend Your Laptop’s Battery Life
Every
laptop user wants longer battery life, but few know how to go about it.
Though laptop manufacturers have made giant strides over the past few
years in increasing the efficiency (and thus the battery life) of their
products, even the most efficient modern machines don’t last long enough
for many users.
So,
how can you improve your laptop’s battery life so you don’t have to be
looking for the nearest available power outlet too frequently?
1. Defrag regularly -
The faster your hard drive does its work – less demand you are going to
put on the hard drive and your battery. Make your hard drive as
efficient as possible by defragging it regularly (but not while it’s on
battery of course!).
2. Dim your screen resolution–
Most laptops come with the ability to dim your laptop screen. Some
even come with ways to modify CPU and cooling performance. Cut them
down to the lowest level you can tolerate to squeeze out some extra
battery juice.
3. Cut down on programs running in the background.
Itunes, Desktop Search, etc. All these add to the CPU load and cut
down battery life. Shut down everything that isn’t crucial when you’re
on battery.
4. Cut down external devices –
USB devices (including your mouse) & WiFi drain down your laptop
battery. Remove or shut them down when not in use. It goes without
saying that charging other devices (like your iPod or BB) with your
laptop when on battery is a guaranteed way of quickly wiping out the
charge on your laptop battery.
5. Run off a hard drive rather than CD/DVD - As
power consuming as hard drives are, CD and DVD drives are worse. Even
having one in the drive can be power consuming. They spin, taking
power, even when they’re not actively being used.
6. Keep the battery contacts clean:
Clean your battery’s metal contacts every couple of months with a cloth
moistened with rubbing alcohol. This keeps the transfer of power from
your battery more efficient.
7. Take care of your battery –
Exercise the Battery. Do not leave a charged battery dormant for long
periods of time. Once charged, you should at least use the battery at
least once every two to three weeks. Also, do not let a Li-On battery
completely discharge. (Discharing is only for older batteries with
memory effects)
8. Hibernate not standby –
Although placing a laptop in standby mode saves some power and you can
instantly resume where you left off, it doesn’t save anywhere as much
power as the hibernate function does. Hibernating a PC will actually
save your PC’s state as it is, and completely shut itself down.
9. Keep operating temperature down -
Your laptop operates more efficiently when it’s cooler. Clean out your
air vents with a cloth or keyboard cleaner, or refer to some extra tips
by LapTopMag.com.
10. Set up and optimize your power options –
Go to ‘Power Options’ in your windows control panel and set it up so
that power usage is optimized (Select the ‘max battery’ for maximum
effect)

of Nov. on his way to church at Sango Ota during a robbery incident.
His family members have described him as a gentle, easy going man.
Miss. Titilayo, one of his course mates said he was a fine, small but
very intelligent and vibrant man. He will be greatly missed by all, she
said. He was laid to rest today in his hometown. May his soul rest in

Terry G Declared Wanted By Nigeria Police
Contoversial
singer cum producer, Gabriel Amanyi popularly known as Terry G, has
been declared wanted by the Nigeria Police in relation to a hit-and-run
incident in Ikeja Lagos, last Friday.
According
to reports, Terry G had gone clubbing on Oba Akran Road, Ikeja
penultimate Friday with friends when the incident happened.
Eye-witness
reports that as Terry G was leaving the premises of the club at the
dead of night, he recklessly drove out on high speed without looking and
in the process crushed the legs of a funseeker who was identified as
Moshood Azeez.
The
victim who is a regular caller at the Computer Village Market, Ikeja
was rushed to the General Hospital, Ikeja by good samaritans for medical
attention.
The matter was later reported at the MAN Centre Police Station, Wemabod Estate, Ikeja.
Ngozi
Braide, Lagos State PPRO who confirmed the incident, said the police
will do everything within its power to arrest the singer whose wife just
recently put to bed a baby boy.

Husband Leaves Wife Of 19 Years After Discovering She Was A Man
A Belgian husband has spoken of his 'horror' after learning his wife of 19 years used to be a man.
The duped 64-year-old - named only as Jan - said he had 'no clue' his bride had been born a boy.
The
shocking revelation only emerged after almost two decades of marriage
when a cousin from his wife's native Indonesia finally exposed the
truth.
Jan told how he met 'Monica' in 1993 when she arrived in his home town of Antwerp as an au-pair to his sister's children.
He described as her 'very beautiful and feminine' - but said he now understood why she was 'no good at ironing'.
Jan told Belgium's Nieuwsblad daily paper: 'My second marriage was on the rocks at the time and we quickly fell in love.
'I thought she was an attractive woman, and she was all woman - she had no male traits.
'She
was 27 years old at the time, so I asked her if she wanted children. 'I
was glad when she said she didn't as I was 44 and already had two of my
own.
'Over
the years she said she was taking the pill, and even during sex I never
noticed anything, though now I understand why she always used a
lubricant, which is apparently normal among transexuals.
'She
was always a good mother to my children, and also a fantastic cook,
though we wasn't that great at cleaning and ironing - and now I know why

Jan said the relationship had begun to suffer over the past two years

Photo Of Iceberg That Sank The Titanic Ship Up For Sale
An
auction house is selling a black and white photo of the iceberg that
experts say the Titanic struck shortly before it sank on its maiden
voyage.
The
photo was taken April 12, 1912, two days before “the unsinkable ship”
met her demise when she hit an iceberg shortly before midnight April 14,
killing 1,502 people.
The
photo shows a huge iceberg with a distinctive elliptical shape. The
photograph was taken by the captain of the S.S. Etonian, according to RR
Auction of Amherst, N.H.
The
caption reads, “Copyright. Blueberg taken by Captain W.F. Wood S.S.
Etonian on 12/4/12 [April 12, 1912] in Lat 41° 50 N Long 49° 50 W.
Titanic struck 14/4/12 [April 14, 2012] and sank in three hours.”
There
were no photos of the iceberg before this one emerged, but two Titanic
crew members drew sketches of the iceberg that they saw April 14. Both
sketches are similar to the elliptical shape of the iceberg in the
photo, according to RR Auction.
The
coordinates scribbled on the photograph are not far from where the
wreckage of the ship lies on the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean.
“In
my professional judgment, this iceberg is the one that sunk the
Titanic,” Titanic artifact collector Stanley Lehrer told the Daily Mail.
Lehrer is noted for his collections of rare Titanic artifacts that have
been displayed around the world.
“The
captain took the pictures because he was fascinated with the unusual
shape of the iceberg. This particular iceberg had an ellipse on the top
right of the iceberg,” Lehrer added.
RR
Auction expects the photo graph to sell for $8,000 to $10,000 when
bidding opens Dec. 13. The photo is one of more than 400 items from the
Titanic that are up for bidding
11-Year-Old Girl Ráped For 2 Hours In Jubilee Park
An 11-year-old girl was subjected to a horrifying two-hour rape in a park after being snatched as she walked home from school.
The girl was taken to hospital with severe injuries after the attack and has since undergone surgery.
Police revealed on Sunday that her ordeal began when she got off a bus on Friday at around 4.30pm.
Sensing
she was being followed by a man, she crossed the road several times to
try to shake him off. Moments later he caught up with her and dragged
her off the street. He then pulled her into a nearby park where he raped
her.
The victim finally got home around 8pm and told her distressed parents what had happened and they took her to hospital.
The attack took place in Jubilee Park, which lies opposite a row of smart houses in the affluent North London suburb of Enfield.
Detective
Inspector Simon Ellershaw, who is leading the investigation, said it
was a “horrific attack on a defenceless young girl”. “It doesn’t need me
to say how serious an attack this is,” he said.
“We come across this type of assault on very rare occasions and are treating it with the utmost seriousness.
“The girl is still in hospital and has had to have surgery to treat her severe injuries.
“She is being supported by her family and of course I’m hoping she will be able to make a full recovery.”
Officers
from Scotland Yard’s Sapphire Unit, which investigates rape and s*xual
assault in the capital, have interviewed the victim in hospital.
Ellershaw
said the girl told officers the attack went on for two hours.
Describing her walk home, the detective said: “At some point she has
become aware that someone was following her, and she crossed the road a
couple of times because of this.
“Then she was dragged into a park and subjected to a brutal séxual assault.”
The
police promised a thorough investigation into the matter and assured
that the monster who perpetrated the heinous act will be brought to

Chris Brown has deleted his Twitter account following a furious exchange of scathing messages with US comic Jenny Johnson.
The
Don’t Judge Me singer was dragged into the bitter row with the
30-year-old TV star when he sent a tweet about how old he looks for his
age.
Chris wrote: “I look old as f**k! I’m only 23.”
Jenny then replied: “I know! Being a worthless piece of s**t can really age a person. RT.”
Chris
decided that he wasn’t going to take the abusive message lying down and
responded with a tirade of abusive tweets aimed at the comedienne who
has regularly poked fun at him since his conviction for assaulting
ex-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.
He wrote back: “Take them teeth out when u Sucking my d*** HOE.”
Jenny then responded “Your mom must be so proud of you,” to which Chris quipped back “mom says hello… She told me not to s**** in ur mouth, wanted me to s*** right on the retina.”

As
the argument continued with both sides showing their disdain for one
another, Chris managed to cause even further offence by posting the

yesterday – even allegedly got involved in the dispute by uploading an
image of the conversation to her Instagram page along with the caption
“who has the time” but quickly deleted the post.
The
argument ended when Jenny decided to stop taunting Chris, writing:
“Okay. I’m done. All I got from that exchange with Chris Brown is that
he wants to s**t and fart on me.
“I have zero respect for a person who seems unapologetic for the terrible crime he committed and shows no signs of changing.”
Chris
followed by saying: “Back to life… To teambreezy… Know that I’m not
upset. Just felt like entertaining the ignorance. These bitches crazy..

Cool FM 96.9 radio presenter/On-Air-Personality Oladotun Ojuolape
Kayode, a.k.a D.O 2d T.U.N was recently suspended for slapping a
colleague.
The energetic and eccentric OAP is said to have handed out the slap on an intern for ‘being rude.’
Inside
sources say the management, after listening to both parties and
witnesses, were forced to hand out the suspension to the OAP. Dotun was
apparently aggravated by the intern, Tobi, and reacted by slapping her.
Some
sources inside the organisation however claim that Tobi deserved it:
‘I’m sorry Dotun got suspended but we at the office are all happy he
slapped her’, another OAP working at the station tells NET in anonymity.
‘She was spoilt and rude and was causing too much wahala at the station, she had it coming!’.
We’re
told Tobi joined the station and was assigned to work with another OAP,
Mannie on the ‘Good Morning Nigeria Show’ as one of his three co-hosts,
but after a while, she was reportedly transferred to the production
room because she wasn’t getting on well with the other presenters. ‘They
had to take her off air and transfer her where she would be less of a
disturbance’, our source tells us.
Tobi has since completed her NSYC year and left the station, while Dotun has now returned to his job.

happened some months back. I have made up with her and we’ve both moved
on‘, Dotun who participated in the October edition of ‘Walk against
Violence’ tells NET.
Dotun,
who has been working at Cool FM since 2004, currently anchors the
‘Midday Oasis Show’ alongside singer-presenter Temilola ‘Taymi’ Balogun.
He also doubles as an MC at various shows, helping out at the weekly
talent showcase Industry Nite once in a while.
The 28-year-old occasionally serves as a hypeman, working with rappers Ice Prince and Vector.
Dotun is currently in a relationship with Taiwo Oyebanjo, pop star D’banj’s younger sister and Kay Switch’s twin.
Sources
say Dotun and Taiwo are head over heels in love with each other, with
the former often saying Taiwo has ‘changed his life.’
We hear he has also met her parents and has gotten approval from them and D’banj himself.
Taiwo
Oyebanjo served as the Mo’Hits accountant before the controversial
split, and currently runs a women’s clothing boutique in Victoria
Island.
