The Best Dressed Men At The Grammys

We’ve been discussing fashion tips For Men here for several weeks. When the Grammys came, I thought it’d be a way to see some of the things we’ve discussed here in real life.

Did you notice none of those dresses we warned you about was worn by those celebrities you love? The truth is no matter how crazy-looking their dresses are in the videos or on the street, they know when to look ‘normal’. You didn’t see Chris Brown sagging his pants on the red carpet, did you?

Check out the way some of them dressed, and tell us who you think was best dressed.

Personally I love how rock star, John Mayer made a bold move and defied the odds in his blue velvet tuxedo jacket, paired with black pants and an oversized, paisley bow tie. Brown’s all-white outfit isn’t bad too…for the red carpet. I’m sure you’re not considering wearing that to your board meeting; you know how superstitious Nigerians are-you’ll soon be in the news. Kidding.

So,last night, at Banky W's love concert at the Civic center Victoria Island in Lagos. Wizkid was apparently on the list of performers and everyone looked forward to confirming if reports of his split from Banky were true or false.

From what transpired ...excluding  Wizkid's noticeable absence on Banky's album,setting up his own record label,and occasional suggestive tweets,the star boy & RnB boss's relationship seems to have broken down irretrievably

Despite all these,about 3 hours after Banky W's concert commenced,in order to pay homage to his soon to be ex-boss Wizkid who flew in from London ,quietly breezed in with his girlfriend,manager and body guard.He went and sat at the far end of the hall.Unless for few whispers and grunts from ladies who were annoyed our star boy had finally settled down, and guys who were dazzled by his bling bling and swag, he went almost unnoticed.No recognition from Banky W or Seyi Law who doubled as host/comedian..he didn't interact with Skales who was sitting in front with his own girlfriend like a boss.lol 

 

So after about 45 minutes,he stood up and walked out hand in hand with his girlfriend..you could tell from the atmosphere that it was over...

So it wasnt a surprise  to hear they had a word battle on twitter....sadly they were deleted before my screen grabber could work..lol..

At least 21 people have been burned after walking over hot burning coals for the motivational speaker Tony Robbins.

The news media reported that at least three people went to a hospital and most suffered burns of second or third degree.

Robbins hosted a four-day meeting called "Unleashing the Power of Within" in the San Jose Convention Center. Witnesses say that on Thursday, a crowd went to a park where 12 lanes of the hot burning coals were placed on the lawn.

His website promotes Robbins’ "Firewalk Experience" in which people walk on hot coals to bring out their power within.

Witness Jonathan Correll says he heard "screams of agony."

Fire Captain Reggie Williams said organizers had a permit for a fire and emergency personnel were on alert.

The singer whose photos from the just concluded Grammys went viral reportedly complained of pain in her head just after returning back into the country, and she was rushed to Reddington Hospital in Lagos, where she sadly passed on.

The gorgeous Goldie had her trademark smile, and the confident pose that endeared many Nigerians to her. Beautiful, full of passion and just ready to go.

It’s amazing how one so alive barely 24 hours ago could have gone like a candle in the wind…

Chris Brown and Drake Sue Each Other

Chris Brown and Drake are taking their feud to court.

Brown and Drake have reportedly sued each other over the nightclub brawl that went down at New York City's W.i.P. last June, according to TMZ.

Model Romain Julien allegedly filed a lawsuit in August against both R&B stars as well as the SoHo hotspot for injuries he claimed he sustained, TMZ reports. But neither Brown nor Drake is taking the blame and each is asking the judge to make the other pay damages in the event Julien wins his suit.

This is not the first legal drama to come out of the brawl, which was supposedly sparked by an argument over Rihanna.

Although no criminal charges have been filed, NBA star Tony Parker filed a $20 million lawsuit against the club's owners a week after the June 14 incident, notes MTV News.

Additionally, the owner of Greenhouse and sister club W.i.P. sued Brown and Drake for $16 million after the brawl, during which both R&B singers' entourages supposedly threw "highball glasses laden with alcohol" and shattered "the handles of bottles of spirits to use as makeshift knives," according to DNA Info. The owner claims the brawl ruined a previous licensing deal by sullying the club's reputation.

When the fight went down, Brown was dating Karrueche Tran. But these days, now that Brown is back with Rihanna, the model has been hanging out with Drake.
Tran and Drake were spotted partying together after the Grammy Awards on Sunday at Hyde nightclub in Los Angeles. She also recently tweeted lyrics from one of Drake's songs, which left some speculating the two might have hooked up.

Popular Afro pop singer and ex-Big Brother Africa housemate Goldie is dead. The eclectic music diva who just returned to Nigeria from the United States where she attended the Grammys Awards last weekend died few hours to midnight on Thursday, Lovers Day, at Reddington Hospital in Victoria Island, Lagos.

I'm in shock. Singer Goldie has passed on. Just confirmed from her best friend and my close friend, Denrele Edun. He told me Goldie died this night at Reddington Hospital in Victoria Island. Goldie just came back from the US today he said, and was so full of life, then something went tragically wrong. Will get all the details from him in a bit, he was crying so much and had to switch off his phone. I'm shaking so bad. She and I had a conversation a few days ago while she was in the US. Oh dear Lord. Is this how people die? May her soul rest in peace..Amen.

Bad sport Chris Brown gets a talking to from Adele after he snubs Frank Ocean's Grammy win

She's known for speaking her mind and at the Grammys on Sunday evening Adele didn't hold back after she saw Chris Brown snub singer Frank Ocean's win.
Sore loser stayed seated as Frank Ocean took to the stage to accept his first ever Grammy and refused to join in the standing ovation. 
The 24-year-old new mother, could be seen staring across at the singer, shaking her head, and soon after appeared to give Brown, 23, a piece of her mind.

Just three weeks ago, police in the Los Angeles area were called in about reports of an altercation between the singers over a parking space.
And clearly not over the ordeal, a bitter Chris barely managed to pull his hands together to applaud Ocean as he preserved his energy for the afterparty by not rising to his feet.

Once Frank's acceptance speech was complete, the mother-of-one made her way over to Brown to discuss his behaviour.
Slightly embarrassed, Brown looked like he was trying to explain himself to Adele as he reached out to grab her hand, but the songstress continued to say her piece.

However, Adele clearly did not hold Brown's rude behaviour against him as as the pair were later hugging as they posed rather stiffly for a picture together.
Adele also made sure to get a picture with two time Grammy award-winner Frank, who rounded off his night by making the first televised performance of his Channel Orange song Forrest Gump.
Taking to the stage at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles on Sunday night, the 25-year-old singer-songwriter cut a dazzling figure in an eye-catching yellow blazer, which he teamed with a powder blue shirt and a striped headband.
