If she isn’t doping in a corner, she is falling off a stage or singing strange things she can’t even remember the next day or she is struggling to have a Michael Jackson make over. Haba! Madam Tonto please get a life! Even Lady Gaga is becoming more of the ‘Lady’ than being ‘Gaga’ these days.
So, what actually made Mz Tonto to run on twitter again to lament on a familiar topic…Mercy Johnson? The last time the ‘Hi’ crooner delved into this subject, she was reacting to fans requesting her to acknowledge Mercy Johnson too like she did with Uche Jumbo and Rita Dominic but she went all gaga and bluntly replied, “f**k y’all”
Now, she is back with venom in her eyes calling Mercy all sorts of names yet claims she didn’t mention anyone’s name in her tweets. Why is she poking her nose into someone’s marriage when she is still single and childless? We don’t get you Tonto, what is your problem with Mercy? Anything the world needs to know about your past? Cause this whole fight is kindda lame.
Here is Tonto speaking…
Mercy on the other hand, has offered no word since and we want to believe she won’t. instead, she is trying to be the big girl and show Tonto some mercy. She’s silent and we all know what that means… That’s for a fact the best answer to a fool. Sorry Tonto, keep digging.

On the fallout of judging Idol: "The perception that people had of me completely changed because there are no cue cards, there's no script, it wasn't me performing a song... 80% Of African Convicts In China Are Nigerians
The Nigerian Ambassador to China, Aminu Wali, said Nigerians were responsible for about 80 per cent of the offences committed by Africans in China.
He said, “Right now, we have over 400 Nigerians in various jails in China and 80 per cent of them are drug-related offences,” he said. “We certainly have big issue with drug-related crimes committed by Nigerians in China and when you look at the whole of Africa, you find out that about 80 per cent of all the offences and crimes committed by Africans in China is committed by Nigerians.”
According to Wali, he had organised visits to Nigerians in prisons and that many of them did not enter China with their real names and genuine Nigerian passports.

DON'T CALL ME FOR A SHOW IF YOU DO NOT HAVE N5 MILLION - WIZKID
International singer Ayo “Wizkid” Balogun has finally opened up on the recently reported UNILAG fraud case. He also talked about his relationship with EME and his new album, he also confirmed that he replaced his damaged car with a new one, he further more stated that him and his crew don’t collect cheap money.. INTERVIEW BELOW:
What really happened between you and the UNILAG students. You were accused of duping them?
By now, I think all is clear that there are some people parading themselves as either Wizkid or his managers. The unfortunate incident regarding the UNILAG students is a case of mistaken identity where people fell victim to some unscrupulous elements who impersonated me or my representatives. The same people, as we have come to know, went as far as creating fake accounts in my name to dupe people. How did you come about the UNILAG palaver? Basically, the police just called us to inform us of the development. We can’t really give full details because we were invited to come to the police station and we went as law abiding citizens. When we got there, we gave our own statement as well as the students. But we really can’t say anything now until the police have done their proper investigations. But with the details on ground, what we want you to know is that the so-called Wizkid the students have been contacting is fake and an impostor. It’s really not from me or from anybody around me. What was your first reaction when you heard the news? I felt so bad. I just went to my Twitter account and tweeted the normal people to contact if you want to book a show with Wizkid. Let’s be realistic. Everybody saw my hustle and watched me grow. When I dropped “Holla Your Boy”, I was much younger and wasn’t charging up to N5 million for shows. This is just playing out and it is simple. So, how much do you charge now? N5 million is okay for my show. But let’s just put things right. It is so bad to my company’s name and my name as well. That is why I decided to open up on the issue.
There is this rumour that you are no longer with EME?
I have just released an album in collaboration with Wizkid and EME. “Starboy” is my new company, EME is still there for me. “Starboy” is Wizkid’s new record label and I have a couple of producers that are working with me in the new company. Definitely, we are working with a lot of people. Banky W and I, started way back. Our dreams have always been to build an empire, to help more people and give them that platform to showcase their talents. And all these dreams cannot happen only with one person. So, we have to branch out and reach out to more people. The industry is really big and there are more than 5 million kids out there roaming about the street and looking for a platform to showcase their talents. We want to give them the platform to do that. So, as you can see, everyone can contribute to that. Now that “Starboy” has started, we thank God, we are doing well. Anybody can start up something. That is just what we are trying to do with EME.
Have you released the track list of your latest album?
Yes, I have done that. I featured Olamide, D’banj and Banky W. The album is ready right now. But we are just putting some finishing touches to it. We will be having a listening party of the album very soon and we are going to announce that as soon as it is ready. We are planning for that. The album is coming out very strong and I thank God that I have put all the necessary things in place. I have a very strong belief that the album is going to win awards. There is this rumour making the rounds that you have replaced your accidented Porsche car. Is it true? Yes, that is absolutely true. We thank God for that. We thank Him for sparing my life. This is not the first time I’ve had such an encounter. That doesn’t mean I am a freak, but I needed to be mobile. I was moving around with a taxi all through the duration of the accident which is not proper.

Ogun state governor turns ‘bus conductor’ for Jonathan (PHOTOS)
President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday inaugurated the reconstruction of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, with a pledge that the N167 billion project would be completed in 48 months.
During his inauguration, the president rode in a motorised vehicle with the Ogun state governor, Ibikunle Amosun acting as a make-shift ‘bus conductor’.
The governor was, however, not daunted by his task as he grinned widely while hanging on to his dear life the vehicle.
He inaugurated the project as thousands of road users were grounded for about three hours on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and Abeokuta-Ore-Benin Expressway.
The President, who flew to the interchange in a Nigeria Air Force helicopter, was accompanied to the venue by the Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, and Lagos State Deputy Governor, Mrs. Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire.
Great job he did we must say.
We have not called off strike – ASUU
Following the indefinite strike embarked by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), last Monday, the union, Sunday, disclosed that it will not suspend the industrial action, unless the Federal Government accedes to the agreement it reached with it in 2009. This is even as the union debunked reports on some social and online media that it has suspended its one-week old strike.
Speaking with Vanguard, ASUU Chairman, University of Lagos (UNILAG), Chapter, Dr. Karo Ogbinaka said: “The strike is still ongoing. We have not suspended or called-off the strike. Perhaps, before we do that, a National Executive Council (NEC) meeting must be held, then, the resolutions of the meeting will be made known to all chapters of the union,” adding, “The indefinite and total strike will continue, except government meets our demands.”
Meanwhile, FG through its Ministry of Education led by Prof. Ruqayyatu Rufain will Monday, meet with stakeholders in the industry, which included Vice Chancellors of Federal universities and their Governing Councils, together with interested Vice Chancellors of State and Private universities.
However, at the time of filing this report, full details of agenda for the meeting was not made known. It would recalled that the union had last Monday, called out its members on an indefinite industrial action over what it termed government’s failure to honour the Academic Earned Allowance (AEA) which formed a component of the 2009 agreement the government signed with the union.

#BBATheChase Evictions: Hakeem's Emotional Goodbye
Tonight Africa has bid farewell to Zimbabwe's Hakeem.
Tears and screams echoed in both Houses as the Zimbabwean made an emotional exit from the Big Brother House.
Just a few moments after the hunky model learned that he had been put up for Eviction by HoH Melvin; he then learned that he is the latest Housemate to be Evicted from The Chase.
Melvin was inconsolable and couldn't believe that Africa hadn't saved the Zimbabwean. "Forgive me father," he kept muttering. But Hakeem tenderly hugged his Nigerian buddy and the rest of the Diamonds before he kissed his girl Cleo goodbye and then joined IK and Fatima on stage.
Over the past few weeks the Diamond dude has found himself becoming a regular on the Nominations list and he managed to scrape through by the skin of his teeth over and over again.
This week had looked to be the Zimbabwean's lucky week. He managed to win himself the Head of House chieftainship on Friday. This week was a 7th heaven for him as he got to play the role of a loving husband to his real life lover Cleo as part of the Wedding Task. At the Task Presentation on Thursday the two had an emotionally charged Wedding ceremony that saw the Diamond fellow bring his woman to tears with a sweet serenade. But tonight his luck finally ran out.
With Hakeem out of the The Chase what will become of his lady love Cleo?

#BBATheChase Evictions: Farewell Fatima
Malawi’s Fatima has become the latest Housemate to be Evicted from The Chase.
The Malawian had a stern look on her face as she made her exit from the House. "No drama, no drama. It's not about you, chill out " she called out to her emotional country-mate Natasha as she walked away.
After managing to make it to the halfway mark without ever being on the Eviction Nominations list Fatima’s luck ran out this evening.
This week was the first time that the young TV presenter had been put on the Eviction chopping block. During the Nominations on Monday she managed to get the highest Nominations in the Ruby House because her fellow Housemates had enough of her ever changing moods.
During her stay in the Big Brother House Fatima has grown very close to Ghana’s Elikem. Their intimate friendship even lead to the Ghanaian fellow breaking up with his lady love Pokello.

Rate Of Unemployment In Nigeria Gives Me Sleepless Nights – Okonjo-Iweala
Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, has said the spate of unemployment in the country is giving her sleepless nights.
Speaking while inspecting an ultramodern Information and Communications Technology factory of Omatek Nigeria Plc in Lagos on Friday, Okonjo-Iweala said, “According to the National Bureau of Statistics, each year, about 1.8 million young Nigerians enter into our labour market and we need to ensure that our economy provides jobs for them.
“In fact, some people ask, ‘What keeps you awake at night, with regard to this economy?’ I say it is the issue of job creation. And I know this is what keeps Mr. President awake at night as well.
“That is why we have responded to the challenge of creating jobs by trying to transform several sectors of the economy; from agriculture, where we’re expecting to create 3.5 million jobs and where the progress of reaching our goal of feeding this country is already well advanced.”
The minister said Nigeria lacked institutions on which to build its developmental programmes.
“When you look at Nigeria, for over 50 to 60 years, we’ve been working without the key institutions that some other people have. We keep making stopgap solutions. For 50 years, we didn’t have a Bureau for Public Procurement; for 50 years, we didn’t have a Debt Management Office.
“So many of the institutions that we have now are new and if you stand back, you’ll see there are still many gaps. It is now our job to try to fill those gaps.”
The minister said the Federal Government was putting in place more initiatives to encourage small and medium scale enterprises.
She noted that the Central Bank of Nigeria had put in place a N200bn guaranty fund for SME’s to access bank loans.
Okonjo-Iweala said, “Let me mention that the Minister of Information and Communications technology has started a Venture Capital Fund with about $15m, which is being financed by the government and other donors.
“The idea behind it is to help support innovative enterprises in the field of ICT. This is designed to lift up some of the young people in Computer Village doing all sorts of innovations.”
She asked investors to encourage public investment in their businesses and to list their companies on the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
The minister said the capital market had been revamped to allow the listing of SMEs through the Alternative Securities Market.
According to her, the platform has made it easier for SMEs to list their companies and to raise additional resources from the capital market.
She added that there were advisers to help small scale investors meet their listing requirements and to help them on how to get listed.
The minister, who described the stock market as a challenging one due to “infrastructural bottlenecks,” said in spite of the challenges, companies had kept growing and maintained high quality standards.
She noted that ICT remained one of the main platforms for the creation of jobs, adding that e-commerce was striving in Nigeria, while more companies were carrying out transactions online.

Vigilante Burns Down Borno ANPP Chairman's House For Sponsoring Boko Haram
The Borno state Chairman of the All Nigeria Peoples Party, Alhaji Mala Othman narrowly escaped death, when Volunteer Youth group, popularly known as Civilian JTF stormed his New GRA residence in Maiduguri on Monday and raised it down, alleging that he is one of the sponsors of Boko Haram militants.
DailyPost in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital has gathered that as early as 10:30 am, the youth in their hundreds stormed the politician’s house, demanding for his arrest and burnt down his building, chanting Sai mun Kawo Karshensu, meaning (we must bring to an end their activities).
The youth blocked the entire major streets leading to his house to avoid harming innocent people passing through the area. Efforts by the youth to track down the politician proved abortive, as he was later sneaked out of the house by security operatives.
On realizing that the ANPP chairman has been smuggled out, the youth set his house ablaze and proceeded to the house of his boss, the former Governor, Ali Modu Sheriff, chanting “Saura Mai Gidan shi” meaning ( His boss’ house is the next), but they were prevented by the security men who manned the gate. The security men also shot sporadically into the air to disperse the rampaging youth.
It would be recalled that the youth have been hunting for the ANPP chairman, Alhaji Mala Othman, alleging that both the Chairman and his boss were responsible for the ongoing crisis in the state.

Pastor Kumuyi's Son Apologizes For Wife's Wedding Outfit
The controversy generated by the marriage of the second son of the General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church, John Kumuyi, to former Miss Love Odih, has taken a new dimension.
In the wedding pictures that circulated online, the bride, who is the daughter of the National Overseer of the church's branch in Jamaica, was seen putting on a more "sexy wedding gown" when compared to that of an ordinary Deeper Life church member...
She also wore ear rings, holding a bouquet and applied make-up — all of which are alien to Pastor Kumuyi's Deeper Life church doctrines.
John and Love got married on June 15 but the ceremony had been a subject of debate on social media over how the bride was dressed, in comparison to other weddings held in the church. The church’s belief does not entertain flamboyance in such celebration.
Anyway, the the couple has tendered a letter of apology to the church and all those who are not happy that they didn't abide by the doctrine, which other church members abide by, saying we have “realised the effects of our actions and omission".
The letter was read to the congregation on Saturday during the church’s mid-year celebration programme held at the Deeper Life Conference Centre, Lagos-Ibadan Expresway and broadcast live to branches all over Nigeria and parts of Africa via satellite read:
“John and Love Kumuyi write to express our deepest and most sincere apology for the turn of events, that have resulted on our traditional and wedding ceremonies, that took place in Jamaica on 13th June and 15th June, 2013 respectively.
“We unreservedly and wholeheartedly state that we did not intend that our acts or omissions will, in any way, undermine the great works that God has done through the Deeper Christian Life Ministry worldwide and more specifically, through our Father in the Lord, the General Superintendent.
“We also use this medium to profusely and sincerely apologise to the General Superintendent for the embarrassment and heartaches, our actions have caused him, more so that he has earlier declined to be at the events.
“This, notwithstanding, we fully accept that having been nurtured, taught and brought up with the sound teaching of the word of God, we should have been able to draw the line, which we failed to do.
“We have now realised the effects of our actions and omission and do plead with the church for forgiveness and also appealing that any action that should be taken be directed at John and Love, as we take this time to prayerfully reflect on our actions. We take full responsibility for what happened, and this action should, in no way, be blamed on the GS, or the leaders of the church in Nigeria, United States, Jamaica or United Kingdom and beyond.”
However, 247naijagossip.com observed that their apology has attracted another debate. Some say there was no need for the apology as his wife wore what pleased her, while others say the apology is in order.
So, look at the two different photos above, what is your take?

Why I prefer stealing from churches – Robbery suspect
Anti-robbery policemen attached to Oko-Oba division have arrested a 32-year-old man who allegedly specialised in bugling churches around Oko-Oba area of Lagos.
The suspect identified as Sannu Umaru was reportedly caught in the act inside one of the Pentecostal churches in Oko-Oba, weekend.
Umaru who claimed to be son of a retired army personnel, told policemen during interrogation that he preferred stealing from churches because of the security lapses.
Preliminary investigation, according to police sources, revealed that Umaru was allegedly involved in some robbery incidents in churches around the area. Before his arrest, he allegedly bugled a church where he made away with some musical instruments.
According to Police sources, “on that fateful night, he scaled the fence of the church and went to where the musical instruments were. As he was about carrying the piano valued close to half a million naira, one of the instruments fell down and attracted the night guards who went for him.
“He jumped through the fence with one of the instruments he stole. But he was apprehended by residents of the area who were alerted by the the guards and was brought to the station. He was found to have also burgled another church within the week.”
In his confessional statement, Umaru blamed his indulgence on frustration, saying: “I was tempted to steal because of the death of my father. After his death, I went into scavenging but did not succeed. I chose to bugle churches because it is easier than any other place.
“Aside this, I do not need to be armed. I was scared of carrying arms and did not want to spill blood. That is why I considered stealing in churches as a gentleman’s way.
“What I do is, anytime I go there, I would search the offering boxes. At times I would find money inside, while at other times I would not.
“At Saint Barnabas Church, I did not find any money inside the offering box. So, I decided to steal their music instrument.”
Police sources said Umaru had been charged to court.
