14-Year-Old Boy Hires Prostitute For Sèx

A teenage boy who used an iPad to arrange a meeting with an alleged prostitute ended up with a different experience than he’d intended.

The boy, 14, from the Chicago suburb Prospect Heights, set up the intended encounter using a website for sexual liaisons, police say.

CBS Chicago reports when the woman arrived at the teenager’s home Wednesday, she allegedly sprayed him with pepper spray, stole the iPad, a piggy-bank and a jar full of money.

Police were able to track the suspect when she later used the iPad.

Dareka Brooks, 22, of Milwaukee, was charged with one count of armed robbery. Her bond was set at $10,000. Her next court appearance is set for May 31.

The teenage victim is safe, police said.

13-Year-Old Boy Slashes Friend’s Throat After Video Game Argument

Video games have been accused of fuelling youth violence after a 13-year-old boy slashed a friend’s throat following an online row.

Police believe the attack, in Clydebank, Scotland, was influenced by the teenager’s use of violent video games.

He had only known his 14-year-old victim for a few months after they met online while playing Xbox game Gears of War 3.

The 18-rated game, which contains ‘strong bloody violence’, rewards players for devising ways of murdering their opponents.

Brian Docherty, chairman of the Scottish Police Federation, said: ‘These games are rated 18 and shouldn’t be played by children of this young age – but online gaming may be outside their parents’ knowledge. We need to look again at what we can do to stop this.’

The High Court in Glasgow heard the boys had a falling-out, which resulted in the victim being slashed.

Then, in a scene reminiscent of violent video games – the accused sneered at his victim: ‘Don’t die,’ before calmly walking off. The accused, who cannot be named for legal reasons, admitted assault.

The victim is now traumatised and his attacker – already a father – faces being locked up when returns to the dock later this month.

Prosecutor Andrew Brown, QC, told the court: ‘The reporting officer was of the opinion that the violent video games played online by the accused may have been a factor in his conduct.’

The boys met while playing Gears of War 3 online around Christmas 2011.

They later met in person and the court heard there was no animosity between the pair until a month before the slashing.

Mr Brown said: ‘The pair had fall-outs online amounting to name-calling via the messaging system used in the game.’

On April 14 last year, the day of the attack, the victim met some friends and the group later encountered the accused at a local shop.

Later that night, the victim and another boy were going to a house when they saw the accused.

The accused grabbed the 14-year-old then struck him across the throat with a knife.

The victim told paramedics a boy had ‘slit his throat in an argument about Xbox games’.

He suffered a wound so deep it exposed his windpipe and required 20 staples following surgery.

The court was told the victim – now 15 – has refused to speak about what happened to him and has had difficulty sleeping.

A spokesman for Microsoft, which publishes Gears of War 3, said: ‘We have some of the most robust parental control systems to empower parents to decide how their children play and communicate.

We have the greatest sympathy for the victim and his family.

Police are investigating a high school student from North Carolina who allegedly spiked his teacher coffee with GluteBoost, a supplement that aims to improve the size of the butt.

Charlotte Police learned of the alleged manipulation of Ellen Vick, a 61-year-old teacher, at Independence High School who reported that his drink was spiked with some substance, according to a police report.

A subsequent investigation determined that GluteBoost had been added to the teacher's coffee. As detailed in the police report, investigators seized a GluteBoost container filled with 3 empty capsules.

According to the manufacturer's website, the "all-natural Behind Enhancement pill" provides "the hourglass figure you deserve without paying for expensive butt augmentation surgery or endure the pain of the injections." In addition, a potential client is advised that they “can achieve their goals and get a 100% risk free."

Although the police have not arrested anyone in connection with the incident, Charlotte-Mecklenburg administrators have punished a student for violating the code of behavior of the public school system.

Soldiers rescue Jonathan’s aide from attack

There was tension at the weekend in Yenagoa, as armed soldiers fire shots in the air to stop Ijaw youths from attacking the Coordinator of the Amnesty Implementation Programme, Kingsley Kuku, over the proposed amendment of the Ijaw Youth Council constitution.
Unconfirmed reports said an Ijaw youth sustained a bullet injury during the incident.
Investigations revealed that Kuku, who is a Presidential Adviser on Niger Delta and former President of the IYC is plotting to make all the past presidents of the group as Board of Trustees in the amended constitution, but majority of the body are kicking against it.
According to findings, the board of trustees would have dominance on the new executive that would emerge in a couple of weeks.
The meeting by the expresidents of IYC and other stakeholders of the sociocultural group generated a heated debate that almost resulted to a free-for-all before the soldiers waded in.
A source in the IYC confided in our correspondent that the disagreement has led to the suspension of the planned amendment of the constitution that would support President Goodluck Jonathan’s election in 2015.

Nigeria’s hip hop sensation, P Square (real name Paul Okoye), has reportedly abandoned the mother of his second baby in a London hospital where the woman recently gave birth to the entertainer’s baby.

A few weeks after welcoming his first new born baby in Atlanta, P Square – who is also known as P2 – had another baby delivered for him in a London hospital by a former beauty pageant contestant. However, this time, P Square has refused to claim paternal responsibility for the baby boy.
SaharaReporters learnt that the new baby’s mother is Elshama Benson Igbanoi, a 19-year-old and former Miss Plateau State. Our sources disclosed that she gave birth at the Queen Charlotte and Chelsea Hospital on Du Cane Road, London W12 0HS.

Our sources said the new mother had been in touch with P2, but he had not been forthcoming beyond telling her that he plans to arrive in London for a DNA test to ascertain paternity. SaharaReporters spoke to the woman’s father, Benson Igbanoi, in Abuja. Mr. Igbanoi stated that his daughter was faithful to the musician. He also revealed that he had sent several emails to P Square concerning his daughter’s pregnancy for him, but had received no response.

Another source said Elshama's family had contacted Paul Okoye's father and aunt to persuade the musician to accept responsibility for his baby.

Ms. Elshama insists that she never slept with any man except for P2, adding that she lost her virginity to him when she was 17 years old.

SaharaReporters learnt that the London hospital where she gave birth has not received any payments. “The hospital has been harassing both Elshama and her mother to pay hospital bills of over £5,000 that have been incurred,” said one source. The baby boy has been named Michelle Paul Okoye.

In a twist to the story, a source close to the former beauty queen said Ms. Elshama was a close friend to Anita, the other woman who gave birth to another baby for P2 a few weeks ago in Atlanta, Georgia.

JAMB Releases 2013 UTME Results [Plus Website To Check Original Result]

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the 2013 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results. The examination body, however, withheld 12,110 results for possible disciplinary action.

“However, the results of 68,309 candidates from various centres are undergoing further screening to ascertain the culpability of 12,110 candidates’ results."

The Registrar of JAMB, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, announced this at a news conference on the release of the results in Bwari, FCT, on Friday.

The registrar said after thorough processing of answer scripts of the candidates who sat for the examination, the board discovered some forms of malpractice perpetuated during the examination.

He said: “The general performance of candidates in this year’s examination shows remarkable improvement compared with last year. Ten candidates scored 300 marks and above, while 127,017 candidates scored between 1-159 marks.

“About 40,692 candidates’ results were invalid due to either multiple shading or no shading at all. After processing all the results, the board also discovered that about 47,974 candidates were absent.“

The registrar assured the candidates that their results could be accessed on the JAMB Website:www.myjambresult.com using their registration numbers.

“Let me once again state that candidates are allowed to change their choices of institutions and courses once only, this change has to be effected within two weeks from today. “

Ojerinde said the Computer Based Test (CBT) is scheduled to take place from May 18 to June 1 and appealed to candidates to reprint their e-registration slips afresh to further ascertain their CBT centres.

A marvelous strike from Arjen Robben put Bayern Munich's passage into the Champions League final beyond doubt, as the Bavarian side cruised past Barcelona 3-0 in the semifinal second leg to set up a clash with Borussia Dortmund. 

The Dutchman released a perfect left-footed effort past Victor Valdes, before an own goal from Gerard Pique and Thomas Muller's strike added insult to injury for the hosts as they crashed out 7-0 on aggregate.

Dealt a severe blow in the build-up to the semifinal with the news that Lionel Messi would not be available from the start, Barcelona nevertheless started positively in its quest to overturn a daunting four-goal deficit and down Bayern. Both teams poured forward in a frenetic first 20 minutes to the encounter, but the energy was not matched by precision in front of goal and there were few clear chances to show for an entertaining beginning.

Barca in particular suffered against a Bayern defense that was organized and committed around the box, and was forced to try its luck from deep. This almost paid off midway through the first half. Pedro let loose with a bomb 35 yards out, and it was well parried behind by Manuel Neuer to save an opener. It was also the Catalan side that enjoyed the best opportunity of the opening 45 minutes.

Enjoying a rare moment of space and time on the ball, Dani Alves whipped a cross into the box that found Cesc Fabregas. The ex-Arsenal man did well to chest down to Xavi, who found himself free, but the midfielder uncharacteristically lost his cool and fired his volley well over the crossbar.

Rochas Okorocha back in Nigeria, gives N200,000 to driver who hit his convoy

The governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha, who was involved in an accident early last week has returned from his medical trips to the US and Israel.

Rochas is really loved by his people....gaily dressed women, men and youths with musical instruments danced and sang to the governor's good health and safe return.

The driver of the Mercedes Benz 200 saloon car that rammed in to Okorocha's motorcade, Mr Osita Nnewuihe was given N200,000 to repair his car.

Osita was detained for one week until Okorocha ordered his immediate release.
