Hip hop act Damino Damoche shot dead at LASU this afternoon

Rising hip hop act, Olaniyan Damilola, popular known as Damino Damoche, was shot dead this afternoon at Lagos State University Ojo gate by people suspected to be cultist.

Damoshe was shot in the head twice after he finished writing a test at faculty of management science. He was a Banking and Finance student at LASU. He was popular for his song - obo to she. 

So sad! May his soul rest in peace...amen.

Covenant University Student Expelled For Watching Pornography! Drags School To Court

A former student of Covenant University, Otta, Ogun State has dragged the institution to court challenging his expulsion from institution for watching watching pornographic material and listening to secular music on his laptop.
The student, Vwamhi Longji Felix, who was a 400-Level student in the school’s Communications Technology department, stated that his parents had spent not less than N10 million on his school fees and other expenses.
Felix was made to face the school’s disciplinary committee and subsequently expelled on the 23rd of November, 2012.
Segun Fatoki, who represented Felix claimed his client was not given a fair hearing  before he was expelled and the act contravened Section 44 of Chapter 4 of the institution’s student handbook.
However, in a counter-affidavit from the defendant, the school stated that students are not allowed to publicly display or be in possession of pornographic films or photographs, exploring or viewing pornographic websites on the internet.
The counter-affidavit went on to state that instructions in the school handbook is clearly again the possession of unholy films and home video or circular music tapes, either stored or directly in the computer or listen through the use of computer radio or any other electronic device when on campus during an academic session.
The presiding judge, Justice Mobolaji Ojo of Ogun State High Court reportedly said, “A youth must live like a youth and an adolescent must live like an adolescent. If all of the traits of a youth are not allowed to be exhibited at the right time, it would be done at the wrong time.”
The case was later adjourned to March 23, 2013 to be revisited.

Davido Bought Off His New Single, Gobe For N500,000

the internet is currently buzzing over Davido‘s new single ‘Gobe‘ which he officially released yesterday February, 25, 2013 but that’s not all that causing him to trend on social network Twitter.

Hours after the release, another version quite similar to the pop star’s surfaced online. Apparently the same song also titled ‘Gobe‘ was released a year ago by an upcoming singer-producer named Password.

Password (who gained little buzz after featuring on Darey’s ‘Style na style’ remix) had made online release for the same song in July 2011 but it seemed not to have garnered any buzz back then.

Sources tell us Password who produced and wrote the first version of ‘Gobe’ allegedly sold the song to Davido for a sum of money possibly up to N500,000.

‘Dude sold the song to Davido. He produced and wrote it, all of a sudden they are saying Shizzi produced it‘, a studio rat and close friend to Password told NET in anonymity.

Both parties have not been responsive to queries over the matter but after numerous comments were made on music blogs and social networks Twitter and Facebook about the stunning similarities between the songs, Davido and Password are now very vocal on Twitter about the matter.

‘They noticed people had found out, it’s like Password didn’t tell Davido that he had released the song before he sold it‘.

Davido tweeted; Big ups 2 @iamshizzi and @iam_password for such a great combination of work for GOBE! More stuff 2 come HKN!

Password was also very co-operative as he also tweeted in support; The song Gobe was officially replaced by @iam_davido hu co-wrote on d new version and I @iam-password is very happy and satisfied.

Benitez Speaks: I’m leaving Chelsea

The Spaniard has endured ceaseless abuse since taking over in November.

Life & Times Of Veteran Actor, Justus Esiri

Born on 20 November 1942 in Oria-Abraka, Delta State, Esiri attended Urhobo College, Effurun, Warri in Delta State. He travelled to Germany to study engineering at the Maximillan University, Munich, Germany, 1964, where he developed an interest in theatre.

Esiri started his acting career in Germany. He was the only Nigerian male that performed on stage between 1968 and 1969. He also worked for Voice of Nigeria VON, German Service, as a translator.

The veteran actor won several laurels including THEMA Awards, NTA Honours Awards and AMAA awards. He was also the star actor in acclaimed productions such as “Wasted Years”, “Forever,” “The Prize”, “Six Demons”, “Corridors of Power”, “Last Knight”, “The Tyrant”, ‘The Investigation”, “The Ghost.”

He was also reputed to have performed on more TV Network drama programmes than any Nigerian actor.

At the close-door parley, Esiri bubbled with life. He sat next to the Secretary to the Federal Government, Chief Anyim Pius Anyim, and did not show any sign of failing health.

Esiri’s death came two months after another veteran actor, Enebeli Elebuwa, a.k.a Andrew died in an Indian hospital and 18 months after legendary actor, Sam Loko Efe also took his bow.

In one of his last interviews, Esiri had lamented his deteriorating health condition, saying “I had to be rushed abroad. But since I came back, I’ve not been fine-it’s either one sickness or the other. But thank God things will get better.”

Kim kardshian has slammed rumours that she is quitting her family's reality TV show.

A US magazine had suggested the mum-to-be was set to leave Keeping Up With The Kardashians after the next series.
But Kim, who is expecting her first child with rapper boyfriend Kanye West in July, has taken to her Celebuzz blog to deny the reports.

In the latest episode of Kourtney & Kim Take Miami, Rob Kardashian told his pregnant sister, Kim: “I hope the tape haunts you.”

Kim was trying to give her little brother advice after his controversial break-up from singer Rita Ora and warned him about getting involved in a Twitter feud. “Don’t post anything else. Everyone has problems,” she said.

But it seemed the conversation had not gone well to say  the least.

Kim revealed to her mother, Kris Jenner during the show that the argument went on. She said Rob asked her for a favour to get her rapper boyfriend Kanye West to record a song with his friend. But according to her, Rob said: “I hope your sex tape haunts you for the rest of your life and I’m going to publicly bash you and Kanye.”

Kim said: “Ever since Rob has broken up with his girlfriend he has been dating all these girls that I don’t think are his type.”

Later in the show, Rob called back to apologise and blamed his anger over heartbreak for his bizarre outburst.

Kourtney told Rob: “She’s the one that’s in the wrong but she’ll probably try to make it like you’re in the wrong.”

Woman Bites-Off Boyfriend's Tongue On Valentine's Day

A man got a strange Valentine’s gift’ from his girlfriend when he tried to kiss her after an outing that resulted in an argument, she bit a large part of his tongue off.

Elaine Cook of Skokie and her 47-year-old boyfriend of 10 months got into an argument after returning from a Valentine Day outing. According to Assistant State Attorney Eve Reilly, Cook asked the unidentified man to leave and he put on his shoes and headed for the door.

But in a last attempt to make peace with her, the man turned around to make amends. ‘He told her they should stop fighting and went to kiss her and she bit off a large portion of his tongue.

Reilly said The man quickly rushed to the sink and Cook followed, spitting out the tongue into the counter. The man quickly put the severed tissue into an ice bag and called 911.

Doctors at Evanston Hospital were unable to stitch back the tongue due to ‘an inadequate blood supply,’ though the man can still speak. Prosecutors say that most of the right part of his tongue has been cut off.

The woman has been arrested and charged with aggravated battery. Her bail has been set at $100,000.

Sophia Bailey-Klugh had already written to President Barack Obama once before, to invite him to dinner at her house. He didn't RSVP, so when the 10-year-old with two dads decided to send him a note thanking him for his support of gay marriage, she wasn't expecting a reply.

She seems to have dumped Nollywood for the Microphone and on March 1,2013 she will release another song titled #JEJE.......This Release will take place whether anyone hates or not.

Rita was famous for her 'English' in the show. She was later to star in her own reality show - Educating Rita, which was cancelled.
